Trophy Redfish and Seatrout
This was the second time I have visited Corpus Christi and fished with Leeward Fishing Adventures both times. Two years ago we fished with Captain Lee Wehring the owner and had a great time and caught lots of fish in three days fishing. I'm handicapped and fish with special rods. Capt Lee went out of his way to accommodate my needs. He is very knowledgeable about the fishing, and the area, and just a pleasure to be with for a day. He offers senior and military discounts, provides all the tackle and bait and cleans and bags your fish. I would not even consider booking with anyone else when I go to Corpus Christi. My most recent fishing with Leeward Fishing Adventures was last week when three of us fished for three days. Unfortunately, Lee had just had shoulder surgery and was unable to guide us. However, he arranged for his son Jake, a licensed Captain with a new 24-foot boat to guide us. Jake was as good as his Dad and just as pleasant.. I'm retired from the Air Force and Jake spent a few years in the Army and a combat tour in Afghanistan, so we had a lot in common. All three of us caught many Fish over the three days . My wife Barbara and friend Cecelia both caught their first Redfish. I caught my biggest Redfish ever, a 28 1/4 inches which fought very hard. We caught numerous 18 t0 20 inch trout and several 5 to 6 pound Drum.
